No, there are no tickets planned for just part of the event.

No, according to the amendment to the Rulebook, there is no Councilors’ Meeting scheduled for Thursday morning in 2027. The event will officially begin on Thursday evening with the Welcome.

There will soon be a subsidized ticket for children and teenagers ages 5 through 15 available—children under 5 do not need to be registered.

Registration must be completed exclusively through the portal. The registration is always linked to the respective c.w. or t.w. account and can be viewed later. During the registration process, you will be prompted to pay by credit card or Twint. A registration is only valid once a payment has been assigned to it. If no payment is made, the registration will be automatically deleted from the system after a few days.

We are currently looking into this and will suggest locations shortly.

We plan to offer drinks and snacks in a central lounge on the event grounds. The exact details are still being discussed and will be announced before the event.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that the event will be accessible at all times and in all areas. However, the organizers will make every effort to address as many barriers as possible.

Yes, up to 8 weeks before the event, the ticket will be refunded minus any service and reservation fees already incurred at that time (approx. 25%). Please note: Each of these cases is handled on an individual basis and, in case of doubt, may take some time to process.

You’ll be asked about these requirements during registration. Last-minute requests may not be possible to accommodate. In general, however, there will always be a vegetarian option among the meals offered.

Yes, various merchandise items are planned for the event. These will be available through the RTCH Shop. Starting in winter 2026, there will be an option to pre-order items, which will then be distributed at the event.

Yes, all payments at the event will be made electronically without exception—via credit card (Sumup) or Twint. However, cash may be needed for after-hours activities in bars or clubs that are not related to the event. The local currency is the Swiss franc (CHF).

No, the organizers do not plan to provide childcare.

Yes, with the exception of the pretours, all official parts of the event will take place around the complex.

February weather is usually cold and wet—expect temperatures between 0 and 15 degrees and frequent rain.

No, accommodation is not included in the ticket price.

There is no designated main hotel. Based on experience, you’ll find the best room rates in Winterthur by booking through travel websites.

The nearest airport is Zurich Airport (ZRH), but the airports in Basel (BSL/MLH), Stuttgart (STR), and Milan (LIN) also have good train connections.

No transportation is organized (except for pre-tours). Switzerland’s public transit system is well-organized, affordable, and punctual—we recommend the SBB app or booking through www.sbb.ch. Tickets booked in advance often come with significant discounts.

Generally, there is no curfew in Switzerland, but bars may have different closing times depending on their licenses. Google is usually very accurate with this information. The quiet hours for outdoor areas are generally 10:00 PM.

Beer and wine are sold to people aged 16 and older; spirits are sold to those aged 18 and older. In general, alcohol can be purchased virtually anywhere—for example, in supermarkets, at newsstands, and at gas stations. There are generally no time restrictions on sales. ID is usually not requested.

Generally, the vast majority of bars are accessible to those aged 16 and older, and most clubs to those aged 18 and older. In some cases, admission is restricted to those aged 21 and older. Information regarding dress codes can generally be found on the respective event organizers’ websites. Many bars and clubs reserve the right to refuse entry to visitors who do not meet their standards for guests. Arguing with them is not productive.

German is the primary language spoken in Winterthur, but you can also get by very well with French and English. For everything else, there’s sign language.

In general, Switzerland is one of the safest countries in the world. Even at night, you generally don’t need to worry much when out on the streets or in clubs. However, it’s always a good idea to stay alert and look out for one another.

Smoking is prohibited in restaurants and on public transportation, unless you’re in a designated smoking area. This also applies to e-cigarettes and vapes. The entire event is smoke-free indoors. Random checks will be conducted during the event.

The use of narcotics is generally prohibited. An exception is cannabis; possession in small quantities is tolerated, but use in public spaces remains prohibited.

Over the next few months, the Organizing Committee will set up a semi-automated system through which the relevant information will be requested. Please be patient for just a little while longer. 

Yes, pre-tours are planned; they will be available for booking via the ticket booking portal starting in winter 2026.

There is no strict registration deadline, but hotel capacity in Winterthur will become limited or expensive once we approach 500 participants, so book soon!

You can print your invoice from the portal after registration.

The organizing team is working, preparing, traveling, or sleeping. All efforts are voluntary and unpaid, so please be patient—we’ll respond as soon as possible.

Yes, tickets can be transferred upto 8 weeks before the event via the registration protal. Please note we will not provide refunds – any compensation must be handled individually between the transferring parties.

Nations Night is one of the highlights of every RTI. Each association gets a food stall where they offer food and drinks they bring from home.

No, there will be no single-day tickets. 

No, that option is not available. 

Yes, you can attend the official meeting without a ticket, but you cannot attend any accompanying activities such as nations night or the lunch.
