RTI HYM 2027 Pre-Tour · Sunday–Thursday
Sunday – Grüezi, Switzerland!
Arrive, settle in and meet your fellow adventurers! Our hotel in Kloten, within walking distance of Zurich Airport, is the starting point for the week ahead. We’ll kick things off with a Welcome Apéro before heading out for a relaxed evening of bar-hopping. Cheers to new friends and the start of our Swiss adventure!
Monday – Zurich Airport Uncovered
Go beyond the departure gates and discover a side of Zurich Airport most travellers never see. A guided visit to the maintenance area takes us behind the scenes, followed by a quick airport snack and a tour with a bus ride around the airport to explore its many operations. Back in Kloten, we’ll share dinner and keep the conversation flowing over another evening out.
Tuesday – Timeless Lucerne, Next Stop Interlaken
Charming streets, historic squares and Swiss craftsmanship await in Lucerne. We’ll explore the old town on a guided walking tour, then step into the world of Chronoswiss to discover the precision and artistry of Swiss watchmaking. In the afternoon, enjoy the changing scenery as we travel by train to Interlaken. After checking in, it’s time for dinner together and a taste of the local nightlife.
Wednesday – Mountain Views & Capital Vibes
We’re heading up! Start the day at Harder Kulm, Interlaken’s local mountain, and take in sweeping views of the surrounding Alpine landscape. After lunch and a beer, we’ll continue to Bern, Switzerland’s capital. There’s time to soak up the city’s atmosphere before gathering for dinner and another sociable night on the town.
Thursday – Say Cheese, Then Hello Winterthur!
Our final day takes us through the rolling countryside of the Emmental, home of Switzerland’s famously holey cheese. At the Emmental Show Dairy, we’ll discover how it’s made and get a taste of the region’s cheese-making tradition. Then it’s onwards by train to Winterthur, ready to join the main RTI HYM 2027 programme—with shared memories and a whole crew of familiar faces.
